A three-day outdoor program for more than 300 kids on Bear Creek in Cameron sponsored by the US Forest Service. MRF provides scholarships and volunteers to serve lunches, teach basic fly casting, fly tying. etc.
May 21Varney Road & FAS Cleanup
Three times a season MRF volunteers collect litter along the road from Ennis to Varney Bridge. We also clean up the Burnt Tree and 8 Mile Ford Fishing Access Sites.
June 24Annual Membership Meeting
The annual meeting of the Foundation membership in Ennis, MT features the election of directors and officers. Watch the newsletter Madison River Currents for details. All members are encouraged to attend and make their voices heard.
June 24"Guardians of the River" Gala Banquet
Held annually on the banks of the Madison, this gala evening set for June 24th features gourmet dining, a fine wine selection, our signature "One Day on the Madison" silent art auction held on the banks of the river featuring paintings created that day by six local artists, a live auction, and exciting guest speaker. All proceeds from the gala go to support the Foundation's mission and projects. Watch our newsletters for details. But be sure to save the date!
July 9 Lifetime Members & Stewards of the Madison Reception
An invitation-only evening reception to recognize and thank MRF's lifetime Members and Stewards of the Madison. Held in the home of a Lifetime Member on the banks of the Madision in Ennis.
July 11MRF Day at Blue Ribbon Flies
Lifetime MRF Members Craig & Jackie Mathews host the Foundation in their West Yellowstone fly shop. Stop by for a cup of coffee, swap a few fishing yarns, buy a drift boat raffle ticket, pick up some tips from Craig, and maybe some flies, too!
July 18 & 21Madison River Noxious Weed Mapping
Noxious invasive weeds threaten our native riparian vegetation and damage the river. MRF volunteers along with USFS, BLM and others take to drift boats and armed with GPS units map noxious weeds along the river. Training is provided July 18 and mapping is done on July 21, followed by a freee BBQ.

Sept. 2-3Ennis on the Madison Fly Fishing Festival
The 10th annual festival will feature fly fishing celebrities, nationally known guest speakers, casting clinics and competitions, artwork, live music, awesome BBQs, kid's programs, and more, tackle raffles featuring a brand new fully-equipped ClackaCraft drift boat. Ennis is the place to be Labor Day weekend!
